No Excuses

My brothers this one will be short and sweet. To many people in this world today won't go the extra inch, notice I didn't say mile to accomplish something they will make up any excuse not to put forth an effort to accomplish something. Excuses like "it was too hard" or "the person was not in" or some other feable excuse. Gentleman don't settle, you need to find a way to make things work for you. Be determined and deliberate in what you want to accomplish and make it happen.

What it takes

Young brothers I have a question for you, that kind of goes along with what Mr. Outler stated in his reply to the blog. Do you understand what it takes to make it in this world as an african american man? I would be interested to hear the replies to this question. I would ask for replies even to say you don't know what it takes. Because to us mature brothers who have witnessed some of the, or shall I say experienced some of the issues an african american man must face, we still may not know what it takes and it would be interesting to hear feedback from some of our fellow brothers who have had other experiences. We would also like to see where your thoughts are so that we can share some of our insights with you.

I would also like to echo the blog from anonymous. What would you as young brothers like to hear from us older brothers because as he stated we might be coming at you sideways with things you don't want to hear. This blog was created for you so please feel free to comment and ask questions that you would like, we are here for you to save you some of that trial and error that some of if not all of us had to go thru. We want to help you travel as smooth a road as possible. So holla at us

Black men in america

Well my brothers we are coming to the end of the school year, and the warm weather is here but my young brothers you have a lot to consider. It is cool to have fun and you should do that but, what are you young brothers going to do to put yourselves ahead of the game for next year or what will you be doing to better yourselves over the summer?
I ask this question to make you think about opportunities. Because as a young black man you need to always be thinking of ways to be just that much better.
Opportunities are all around, like maybe taking a class, helping out in the community, learning about starting a business, trying to start a business doing something you like. The options are limitless as to what you could do versus sitting around or hanging out on the block. So what opportunity will you take advantage of? I would like to hear about it.
As for my more mature black men what options or ideas might you have for these young brothers? I know I don't have all the answers so please feel free to jump in and help these young brothers.
